Booking a Place

We offer places on our public courses in response to a written booking sent by fax or post. We treat this as a confirmed booking but request that this is followed up by an official Purchase Order where a delegate's organisation's financial instructions so require.

In response we issue joining instructions and a proforma invoice requiring payment before the course start date.

To preserve the quality of the training our public courses are limited to 12 delegates per course. Hence we have to turn away other potential delegates once we receive 12 bookings for a course.

From four weeks prior to the course we are committed to paying for the basic course costs however many delegates actually attend. We therefore have a cancellation and postponement policy that reflects the costs to us of delegates cancelling or postponing, once booked.

Currently, examination fees (where appropriate) are charged only for those who actually sit the exams, not for the number of exam papers booked.

To cancel or postpone their course a delegate should advise us in writing and would be subject to the following charge:

Up to 28 days prior to the Monday of the course: 10 % of the course fees (excluding exam fees) would be payable.

Within 28 days of the course start date:

Cancellation fee: 50 % of the course fees (excluding exam fees)
or
Postponement fee: 30% of the course fees (excluding exam fees).

On receipt of a cancellation or postponement notification we will acknowledge and issue an invoice (or partial rebate / credit note if the course fee has been paid by that date).

N.B. We do not charge if a delegate is replaced by a colleague on the same course.

To reduce the risk of incurring cancellation/postponement fees we recommend that organisations nominate a "standby delegate" to shadow the booked delegate. The standby delegate should be made aware of the joining instructions and pre-work etc and be prepared to take the delegates' place should the need arise.
